Voice messages from Still on the Line

Below are audio messages from people who have called our helpline*. Every one of them was denied an abortion in Ireland, and had to turn to Abortion Support Network for help.

Some of these messages contain upsetting themes, so please listen with care.

We supported this person to arrange an appointment in England, and the best/least expensive route to travel.

They were able to cover the costs themselves.

This person raised most of the funds for the €2,000 procedure from family.
ASN was able to give a grant of €100 towards travel.

We supported this person to make their appointment in England, and gave a grant of €2,050 to cover the costs.

We signposted Melissa to abortion services and domestic violence support services in Ireland.

We supported them to book an appointment, and gave a grant of €600 to cover the cost.

We supported this person to arrange an appointment in England, and the best/least expensive route to travel.

They were able to cover the costs themselves.
