Our helpline has closed for our two-week summer break. It is not possible to request support from us during this time, but we suggest you contact a clinic, or an organisation that can provide abortion pills.

Pills by post

If you are under 12 weeks pregnant, you can contact Women Help Women or Women on Web for advice about medical abortion via pills-by-post.

If you do not speak the same language as the clinic you are calling, you can say the word ‘interpreter’ and the language you speak. For example, ‘interpreter Polish’. The clinic will either add an interpreter to the call or will arrange to email you so you can use an online translator.

Foetal anomaly/abnormality

If you are over 24 weeks pregnant and you have had a diagnosis of foetal anomaly/abnormality you can contact Brugmann hospital in Brussels, Belgium:

They will need to see any medical documentation you have about the pregnancy, including scans and tests. If you do not have any documentation that confirms a diagnosis, you will need to get this first before you contact CHU Brugmann.

Over 20 weeks pregnant

If you’re over 20 weeks pregnant, it is important to make an appointment as soon as you can.

If you have an EU, EEA or Swiss passport then your best option will be to travel to the UK, where the legal limit is 23 weeks and 6 days. Please note, you may need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation in order to travel to the UK.

If you would need a visa to travel to the UK, it will not be possible to get one before you reach the legal limit. Please contact Centro Médico Aragón instead and send them a scan so they can check your gestation has not been mis-calculated.
