As long as borders and clinics remain open, we will help those who are able to safely travel access abortions abroad. We will also provide information on safe abortion pills for home use where appropriate. If you need an abortion, please get in touch and we will help you as much as we are able. Coronavirus is simply YET ANOTHER obstacle faced by people living in countries with inadequate provision of abortion services.

This is where you find out about volunteer and staff roles currently available at ASN.

If you are interested in volunteering with ASN but no roles are available, please sign up for our monthly newsletter, where we share news and volunteer opportunities as they arise.

Fundraising volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to join our community fundraising team, to help encourage and coordinate ASN’s volunteer fundraisers, provide information on fundraising, and coordinate fundraising activities with the wider communications teams. Please apply ASAP; we will be shortlisting and interviewing as applications come in.

How to apply for a volunteer role

To apply for any role with Abortion Support Network (with the exception of trustee roles and paid positions) please download and complete a copy of our volunteer application form.

Why isn’t ASN recruiting for volunteer hosts?

Many people have contacted ASN offering to provide accommodation to women travelling for abortion, or to travel with them to and from clinics. During Covid-19, we stopped offering in-person accommodation, and clinics and hospitals stopped allowing support people to join clients. Even when companions are allowed in clinics, they are kept in the waiting room while the patient goes elsewhere in the building. With Covid subsiding, we are looking into whether or not to restart our accommodation service, balancing the needs of our clients and our capacity for recruiting, training and managing volunteer hosts. We will post any new roles here in the first instance.
